Last night was my good friend Eddie's birthday. We had plans to go to a hookah bar in downtown Chicago that allowed alcohol BYOB. So, the drinking age in the United State being 21, and my age being 19 does not cooperate. I have a fake id that gets me into most bars and liquor stores. I put on my dress, grabbed a twenty, and walked to Bruno's liquor store on Sheridan Road for a fifth of Bacardi. On my walk back, a cop car of three cops drives by, slows down when they see me carrying the bottle, stops, and turn their lights on. My fake isnt good enough to pass for the cops. Instinctly, I ran for my life. I ran and i ran and i ran. And I made it home and didnt stop running until i got into my apartment and bolted the door. I could have gotten arrested on three charges: running from the cops, possession of alcohol underage, and for my fake id. I got lucky. High school cross country paid off :)
