i literally have no life and love talking about stars on tengaged.com so i decided i'm gonna make a blog series talking about my experience in every single stars game i've played. obviously some will be more exciting than others, seeing as i have varied placements/memories of each game, but i think this will be a lot of fun if u wanna be tagged just say so and i'll tag u in future blogs. (aka if u comment at all im gonna start tagging u)
so right off the bat i need to mention that this was a 17 person stars. for anyone who doesn't know how this works, polls play out as normal, except the final eviction poll is for 5th. out of the final 4, the person farthest to the left is automatically given 4th and the other 3 are entered into the finals poll. thankfully i was close to the middle of the cast, so i could somewhat ignore that.
so coming into this game, i knew Julian/ thnksfrthmmrs and 2Beastly, as well as (at the time) being good friends with bamold1999. however, i quickly threw these friendships aside as i nommed steve for 17th and julian for 16th. another important note is that this was during the very beginning of the multi era when only Negan had any multis, and 200 was considered a lot (which is how many he had at the time i believe)
this lead to julian getting multid out against yoshicoolman early on, which was fine for me because julian made it clear he didn't wanna work with me after i nommed him the first time. i know me nomming Donphinz811 was a blindside to him bc he also got pissed at me, but he got out pretty soon after so that was fine.
owlb0ned/@brightonal, the projected winner, also fell victim to multis as she lost the poll to Instagram. gotta be honest i don't really remember too many specifics as to what i nommed, but i know me and tyler were running the game while also working closely with amills5 and dubstar. me and tyler wanted them to make it as far as possible because it made sure that tyler would make finals as long as one of them was left.
i ended up going unnommed until the 2nd to last DC (what would normally be 5th but was 6th due to the glitch), and tyler went up the day after and beat amills with the help of negan. this caused the final 3 of me, along with bamold and instagram who both had negan helping them in finals
as i said before, negan had 200 multis. normally what would happen if that he used all of them to help whoever he wanted, but in finals he decided to use 100 each on matt/tyler in order to try to help them both. i ended up getting 2nd, finishing only 4.2% behind tyler.
at the time, this was extremely annoying. i know that without multis, the finals would've been different in the first place as Jess was 100%going to win with that cast. however, knowing that i would've won in the final 3 that was there without the use of multis made me a little salty. that's still one of the 2 f3s that i've been in that i believe i would've won without them, but the other one is quite a ways away.
gameplay wise this one was less interesting than others but i think it made for a good story, hope u all are enjoying this so far.
