Well ok choosing Demi Lovato is a RISK because I am.... not a fan. The ANNYYYYOONEEEES are really quite grating after like the first 3 honestly. The pared back piano helps but the only real emotion I'm getting here is irritated LOL :S
Artpop2 - Soccer Mommy - 'royal screw up'
I've liked what I've heard of hers before. She opened for Kacey Musgraves when I saw her, and 'Cool' was on my fave 50 in 2018. I've been meaning to listen to this album tbh. This was a really nice song, I can't say I was really feeling true ~SADNESS~ moreso a bit of kinda numbness? I liked it tho.
Absol - Hana Vu - 'Crying On The Subway'
She has a gorgeous voice! I feel your PAIN from being pink LOW. It's a bit emo but it's not melodramatic and I feel that's what being pink LOW embodies. A good choice.
MichelleObama - Lisa Fischer - 'How Can I Ease The Pain'
omg the GOMENASAI at the beginning really quaked my puss. This really did give me that late 80s early 90s heartbreak vibes that you were serving me, your best entry so far I would say! The high note towards the end was such a MOMENT i feel like I've hit that crying over heartbreak.
Ribbons - Bjork - 'I've Seen It All'
I've also been meaning to watch Dancer in the Dark but I actually haven't. Altho fuck Lars von Trier he's a NAZI and assaulted bjork! Her voice can always like convey a lot of emotion and blindness is a pretty strong one lmao. You entered a good entry again, you are playing to win miss lady.
Thirteen - Janis Joplin - 'Maybe'
Janis really did have one of those GREAT voices, one of the best of all time tbh. The emotion I get here really is PINING and that is very clear in it. Another really good job this week.
HighNoon - Coheed and Cambria - 'God Send Conspirator'
This was very mid 00s and very sprawling so I guess in that sense I see how it achieved your long ass emotion you were saying. I don't really think I liked the song much because even though I'm not opposed to the genre it just kept turning around and around and hurt my head a little.
ricktworick1 - Jade Bird - 'Uh Huh'
This packs a real punch of energy and I enjoyed that in the run of songs we've had. I like how you took a different route too and gave me some anger. I do really feel that from this entry. Kinda bop!
Analiese - Mariah Carey - 'Vanishing'
You're probably a bit lucky here I actually got the reference with this, because that particular incident is funny as fuck. But what you submitted, is just a really good song, delivered vocally RIGHT, you might have been better submitting that actual performance where someone fucked up ya know?
alexeh23 - FKA twigs - 'Cellophane'
I think again you really nailed this here. I'm a huge fan of twigs and this really sells desperation as an emotion well. You can hear it in her voice from the first note, and the stark lyrics sell it too. Great job AGAIN bitch you are in it to win it.
TheOmen - The Sun - 'When The Party's Over'
This is probably my favourite entry of yours actually. LeAnn Rimes has a gorgeous voice, always enjoyed her. I like her interpretation of this song, and I've always liked this song. She doesn't overcook it. A solid entry.
