Once when I was at the grocery store, I heard a woman say to her child.... do you want some cookies?!? The child started screaming... NO, NO puhleeease! I thought wow, a kid that doesn't like sugar?!?! I then asked the woman, he doesn't like cookies? She said.. 'Oh, when I ask if he wants 'cookies' that means a spank.' I taught him that so people won't know I'm threatening him with punishment. I said 'Oh wow, never heard of that method... so what do you say to him when you offer a real cookie? She sighed and walked away...
