NEVER BLOGGING AGAIN :( Jul 24, 2012
Hey all. So, because I gained an utmost fascination with this site, I thought I would begin to blog on it. Not the start I had hoped for. My first post recieved -49 points, my second post recieved -63 points. Why? Blogs are supposed to allow for a freedom of speech, are they not? I spoke with compassion, I was kind and I was fair. Why did I recieve such utter cruelty in return? Why do people thrive off the "negging" and hurting of others, even over that of a computer screen? It's a hard knock world, I guess.

Negging in Big Brother Jul 24, 2012
Hello all. I have a relatively quick question. What is the point of plussing comments and negging them? As a new player, truly unaware of the pros and cons of either, it seems to me that both have their ups and down. By plussing comments, you are ultimately giving other players in the house power and a shot a POV, etc. By negging comments, you are decreasing their odds and effecting their shot at winning any sort of immunity. So alas, I am left puzzled. Yes, negging is obviously the "douchebag" move and plussing is surely, the more modest approach. But as I said in my other post entitled, "Morality in Big Brother", who truly cares who is moral and who isnt. Its about playing the game is it not? So, I ask, why not neg away?

Morality in Big Brother Jul 24, 2012
As is the case in most reality shows, the winner always seems to have played a noble, morally sound game. But why? It's a game. Why is it that the backstabbing asshole always loses to the kind, generic floater? I seize to have an answer. Why is it a good thing when people say "I played a fair, modest game" and a bad thing when they say "I backstabbed all of you and loved it". Both ways got them to the final, no? Thus, both were effective were they not? Reality show houseguests need to stray away from their friendly efforts to gain popularity within the house and simply do what it takes to reach the final. From there, the jury should vote on who they believed played a "better game", not who played a nicer one.

Sorry for that rant, but it had to be said.
