Anyone know what admin fee is for apartment application?

So Piddu got an apartment and had to pay a 50 dollar application fee

I'm looking for one now at a different place and they are saying I have to pay 50 for an application fee + 150 for an admin fee - what is the admin fee used for and is that normal or am I being scammed?

Anyone got any experiences?

that sounds kinda SUS i remember looking up apartments before and basically stayed clear of those that asked me for admin fees lmao

Admin fees should not be that expensive
Admin fees are kinda like compensation for the admin team processing your application etc. admin fees can also be considered “convenience” fees.

Admin fees in my experience aren’t usually more than like 20 bucks tho so that’s weird af..
