When white men get criticized for only going after Asian girls. Apparently the whole "yellow fever" concept is creepy and degrading, and those guys like the girls because they're Asian and for no other reason.
As a guy that tries harder for Asians he finds attractive than any other races, I hate this logic. Sure, most of these guys are creepy anime and Japanese culture levels that never shower and wear those gloves with the fingertips cut off.
BUT why should they be criticized for who they're attracted to? Like nobody says anything about guys who only like skinny girls or only blonde girls or only tall girls. Yet if you're generally attracted to Asians, it's weird and frowned upon and Asian girls hate it.
I've never heard a skinny girl go "Yeah, he only likes me cause I'm skinny" as if she's the only one in the world. Or a tall girl say "He's only ever dated tall girls. Isn't that so weird? God I hate when he hits on me. He's cute and all, but that's just too weird."
Fuck you. You're not being treated as an object or whatever, just as someone these dudes, sometimes myself included, find attractive. Not only because you're Asian, just because you're pleasing on the eyes and you have a likable, attractive personality.
It seems guys are criticized for liking a certain aspect of a girl even though a lot of us are attracted to multiple aspects of her, physical and mental alike.
Obscurity You're a fucking fool man. Please read further than "white men get criticized" next time you dumb fuck. How is this considered oppression? When did I say anything about oppression? "OMG my life opportunities are fucked because I'm sometimes attracted to Asian girls, the government hates me."
Obscurity Excuse the profanity but when people say stupid shit like that, it really gets on my nerves. Obviously history shows how fortunate I am to be a white male. But that has absolutely nothing to do with what I was talking about in this blog.
ROFL not trying to get into an argument, sorry if that came across as snarkier than i intended it to be
i still think this blog is kind of odd.........i've never heard of white guys getting criticized for being attracted to asian girls...why would that be a bad thing? as long as you're not ACTUALLY creepy about it like the people you mentioned in this blog, i highly doubt you're really judged for being attracted to asian girls
the only thing i've heard that's remotely related to this is white guys being stigmatized and called racist for only being attracted to white girls. although i think it's a bit superficial, it's a stretch to call that racism
but yeah i doubt this is as big of a problem as you're making it out to be
Obscurity It's not a problem for me specifically, it's probably moreso the white guys who are super into anime and manga and all of that, and are only attracted to Asian girls. Sure, they're weird, but why does it have to be such a bad thing for them to be attracted to a certain type of person?
LOL yeah, there's that stigma of the creepy, fat, greasy, anime nerd with an asian fetish. i mean, there are guys that genuinely are like that but i'm sure most people have racial preference in who they're attracted to.
in regards to the viral thing, it's a total media representation of asians. asians are terribly underrepresented across the spectrum. i could write more, but i don't feel like it. hi Seal :}
Bunnycat Right, but from what I was reading, a lot of that trend focused around the stigma. The extreme fetishism of female Asians to white men. And sure, maybe sometimes they only do want an Asian and don't really care as much about the personality. But how is that different from a guy only liking girls of a certain body type or hair color?
Seal the thing here is you're preaching to the choir. Tengaged is predominantly gay, and you're complaining to people who will always be ridiculed for liking the same gender and compared to your issue, it seems minor. JS.
Aquamarine It has nothing to do with that, son. I'm not saying anything about gays or how this ranks in the hierarchy of "attraction issues" or whatever. I was just stating my opinion on a trend that has been emphasized in social media recently.
