"dont ban people for speaking out" is such a bullshit analysis of the situation
for anyone to say that there is NO difference between 1. openly having sexual conversations/pictures exchanged with a known minor, and 2. eventually caving and saying halfhearted comments in RETURN to someone you dont know the age of, is insane.
YES he should have been smarter and safer with his comments, of course, but it is not at all actions of a predator or a pedophile, and for the person STARTING the convos to suddenly do a 180 and play victim for the umpteenth time now is NOT the same as someone coming out as a true victim of either action. It discredits the true crimes that are committed to someone who is unexpecting and taken advantage of and thats disgusting
I get why people may be annoyed at how it was brought up, like he 100% contributed to the conversation. It could even be viewed out as trying to catch a predator, but it's still very weird that an adult would try to carry a conversation like that and keep it going.
EmmaM i dont see how anyone looks at those screenshots and thinks someone is trying to keep that type of convo going, it seems like just trying to answer in short sentences, one word answers to just get through the conversation and move on
