Non-tengaged but please help! Nov 15, 2009
imageSorry to post about this again, but my friend Stevie is in a competition that will really help out her career. She's made it all the way to the finals and has fallen from first place (I think people from here may have really helped get her there in the first place so thank you!!!!) and is no longer even in the top three! If you could go to the bikini model competition and vote for my gorgeous and incredibly sweet good hearted friend I would be really grateful. She's worked really hard for this and completely deserves to win! (At least in my opinion.) Thanks for your time!!!! As many votes as you could give her would be so deeply appreciated!

4th Casting/Considering Rookies Aug 1, 2009
Finished my fourth casting game a little over a day ago. I got fourth which was plenty to make me happy. I met a lot of great people but it was definitely a drama filled game. Some of the drama got personal and there was a moderate amount of backstabbing, a lot of casting blame without proof, and a ton of lying. Frustrating but still a good experience. Thanks to everyone there for good conversation, your support, and a truly interesting game.

Trying to work up the courage to join a Rookies game which I can now afford. Not sure I'm ready... or just concerned I won't adjust to the new version and make an ass of myself... which is sort of lame because I've really been looking forward to rookies. That's what social anxiety will do for you lol. I'll suck it up and deal eventually.

One of my closest friends just moved out of state yesterday so may end up with more time than usual to play... maybe. But at the same time it sounds like her former roommates (and my friends) may be crashing with me and mooching off my computer so not sure how much access I'll have. Which is a great excuse to put off joining a rookies game until I know what's what.

Surveys Jul 22, 2009
I'm waiting to have enough T$ to start playing a game again because I used poor financial planning. Live and learn. The survey method of gaining capital is not working for me though. Seriously, has anyone gotten the survey things to work?! I've done four and never seen any results. I asked for customer service help on one but that's been a total ordeal.

When I asked for assistance. Offerpal Media Support sent an email saying they would manually add the credits if I send them the confirmation email from the advertiser... I sent them what I thought they needed saying that if that wasn't what they needed to be more specific because since doing the surveys my junk mail is chock full of fun stuff and there wasn't a clear specific advertiser in charge of the survey. In response they sent me the exact email back along with an explanation that they have to confirm with that email in order to give credit or their books will be off... sure but that doesn't help me!!! Just tell me what you want!!!! Grrr. Sorry needed to rant.

But if anyone has actually gotten those annoying things to work and perhaps has advice on how I could duplicate that result.. please let me know!

Yellow Level! Jul 21, 2009
Have done my first three games although didn't participate as much as I would have liked in the third game. Have reached the yellow level! Unfortunately that left me a little low on mula so did the betting thing with my last bit of money... totally how I live my real life :) (not at all). I'm hoping I'll end up with enough to go into at least a casting game but a rookies game would be awesome.

I tried filling out the free surveys as well... has that ever worked for anyone?... it hasn't at all for me... and thankfully the email address I've used is one I'm phasing out so the massive amount of resulting spam isn't really a problem.

No matter what this has been a really fun site so far. :)

Negging in Casting Jul 14, 2009
I really hate how the negging system works. According to the tengaged blog ( http://blog.tengaged.com/category/tips/ ) you are penalized for always plussing and never negging... or never plussing and always negging. It suggests around a fifty fifty split. But that's ridiculous!!! I don't like negging people and I refuse to do it! Very very rarely does someone even say something that would make negging make any sense at all!! So I'm penalized? It's often hurtful and it's socially unacceptable for the most part.

In addition supposedly the number of people who neg you vs. plussed you is more important than the overall number of times you've been negged or your overall point total in the algo choosing who goes on the block. What?! So you say one thing that bugs 4 people and that's more important than saying 200 hundred things that everyone plussed?? Am I understanding this right? That sounds like a really easy way for a group of people to manipulate the game just going to back pages and trying to impact who they want to go on the block.

The basic concept of being able to say yeah this comment wasn't very good or someone is spamming makes sense. Sure. Going on point totals makes sense. But the system as it stands seems incredibly flawed.
