What are we teaching our children??

Aug 29, 2012 by Pretty_Little_Liar
Long blog warning!!

So this has been on my chest for a while. Two months ago a 13 year old boy walked into the local Jr. High School with a gun and shot 5 people. At the time of the shooting the public out cried for justice to be served wich is all fine and dandy. Fast foward to today a couple weeks before his court trial and people are now saying that this kids PARENTS should be tried for the crime and not the kid. Huh this makes no sense what so ever. The parents did not go to thier nieghbors and steal a hand gun.The parents did not walk into school with the intention to harm people. What about this child taking responsiblity for his actions. What are we teaching our children if they can do what ever the fuck they want and not have to take the reprucusions of thier actions. Im not saying by any means this kid needs the death penalty but come on to put his parents on trial for what he did doesnt make sense. And before anyone says "he doesnt know the different between right and wrong." Bull fucking shit at 13 you know if you shoot someone its wrong. You know if you walk up to someone and punch someone its wrong. I just cant believe that people think the parents should take responsibility for this.

The child should receive mental help, not imprisonment. Children don't just go out and kill people unless something is psychologically wrong. Also, children's brains aren't fully developed at that age so their thought processes aren't as complex as an adult's would be.

But children's minds aren't fully developed so they are incapable of fully understanding such complicated concepts. Pretty_Little_Liar
