ik yall didnt pyn but ur like music people i exchange music w/ a lot so ur added
ok so i also know i said i was gonna do top 50
but i lied
here's the 7 songs that did not make it into my top 25
32nd = Pay Your Way In Pain - St. Vincent (from Daddy's Home)
This song is fun, and pretty catchy, and like just gives of gay energy. I've had it in like half of my playlists this year, but like i have to be really wanting some st. vincent if i'm gonna play any of those playlists. I love MASSeducation and her self title a bit better, but this as a lead single was pretty fun

31st = fue major - Kali Uchis ft. SZA (Single)
This collaboration was something necessary to heal our dying world. Did it save us? No we're still screwed but like at least we got this bop. I will consume anything SZA, and kali on top of it. It's only not in the top 25 because i could see SZA drop something like this without kali, its not like anything super different, but it's still very quite amazing spectacular

30th = DIRTY! - JPEGMafia (from LP!)
peggy is like one of my favorite producers for a long time, back when he like lowkey invented vaporwave?!?!?!?! and to what he does now. he fr like does not give a shit to what types of nosies or songs he samples, and he's able to create these weird alt rap sound collages that are always so freaky but so enjoyable to listen. i wish this song was longer, but ill still savor the 2:01 time run
kinda a stark contrast from this song to the previous, but i can still appreciate a chiller production style, which finneas has all but mastered between the 2 albums + don't smile at me. it's one of my favorite openers for any album that dropped this year (also ur gonna see a lot of opening tracks on here jsyk) my only tribulation with the track is that it's too long. they've made similar length songs that are able to not sound repetative after a few mins but otherwise bueno track

28th = Miracle Baby - The Alchemist feat. MAVI (from This Thing Of Ours Vol. 2)
ok, first of all, The Alchemist needs to be way more famous and well known and acknowledged than what he's got rn, because this man is like a S tier producer. always using random samples from like thee 60's from tracks that probably aren't even on streaming services, it's like a more modern DOOM production style, and i LOVE it. OK on to MAVI, he's one of my favorite of the bigger underground rap artists, he's pretty much only known to a larger audience via a feature w/ earl sweatshirt, and if i had to compare his rap style/flow with anyone, he's like happy earl, which is good, but he still kinda sounds like his influences
ok so like happy modern 009 soundscape anyone??? this dude can make anything sound positive and full of like hope and shit, its fucking crazy ? ? ? this song like hit me hard cause its about fixing ur inner critic of yourself, and like i personally struggle w/ that type of shit a lot. this entire album is so positive i usually listen to it whenever im like at a breaking point just to keep myself at ease, just ood vibes all around
26th = Noticed I cried - PinkPantheress (from to hell with it)
ill be honest pinkpantheress is the only artist that blew up on tiktok that i like wekfjwlekfwlkef maybe hot take?? idk, but her album was overall pretty good. i have a bias towards this song in particular cause it's drum-n-bass, which is like a pretty underrated genre of electronic music, and hopefully more people listen to it w/ her using it on this song. I WWISH IT WAS LONGER PLs ik the point of her album was she didn't want to over do it or whatever but if she dropped a fuller version of this song i'd eat for days
