I've battled addiction before and always will have temptations and triggers for the rest of my life. An addict who no longer uses is called a recovering addict. You will never not be an addict once you quit. It can happen to anyone. Opiate addiction can start from being injured and then being prescribed opiates for pain. That is what happened to me. But addiction comes in all forms, such as: Alcohol, nicotine, food, gambling, plastic surgery, etc. The fact of owning your mistakes and flaws makes you a survivor and fighter of addiction. By taking life one day at a time, you are doing the best thing a person on this planet can do, even if you are not an addict. Why worry about future and past issues since there is nothing you can do about them. Live in the moment and enjoy life.
Addiction is a very huge issue in our country, especially over the last 10 years. It is no longer a problem, but an epidemic. If anyone ever needs to talk about addiction or a similar issue, please feel free to message me. I will ALWAYS help out anyone who asks. Don't feel ashamed, feel strong and empowered that you can own your problems and flaws.

Your very insightful and have so much to say unfortunately it will most likely be over looked by the vast majority of the Tengaged population because of their age.
Crickets: Thank you boo. This blog will most likely go over 90% of the Tengaged Community, but I'm hoping some of the younger users on here will come across this blog. Hopefully my message can maybe safe some people from becoming addicted or abusing drugs and alcohol. I want this blog to get placed into the Top Blogs because it actually has a message and is important. =)
