His comment is kinda offending due to the fact that my neighbor experienced slavery and racism throughout their whole lives...

I think the comment was refering to the color level, i don't think he meant it as racist, but it might have been.

mrjjsmithy I can't seem to remember if it was during slavery or segregation but I know their grandparents experienced slavery...
