It's truly amazing how diverse America is! I was raised in the great Southwest and thus very accustomed to certain things in my environment. When I started visiting other states it was cultural shock to see how different it can be. Going on trips to different states can be amazing as well as realizing that no there won't be a taco stand on every corner! Some places people put powdered sugar or peanut butter on their pancakes! New Jersey has no clue on what a tortilla should look like, the ones I saw there look like pie shells. Not to mention pork rolls, but I guess they would have the same reaction to a tamale. There is beauty in every state I have been in. I will never forget the majesty of Mt. Rainier or the winding roads of West Virginia. America is a treasure unto itself!
