I think I'm about to maybe get back into a Rookies, but I always get out very fast. What's wrong with this?

1. Being nice
2. Making 2-3 alliances
3. Going to POV challenges
4. I come back and I'm nommed :(.

Thing is, other people do POV and are fine. What am I doing wrong? Please tell me!
