Monday will be poetry day. I'm an English major, so maybe this will help me out a bit. So without further ado....Here's a Harry Potter sonnet!
“Hogwarts”
Hogwarts, the castle, where no Muggles dwell
Witches and wizards and monsters galore
Within a few weeks you’ll cast your first spell
A flick of the wrist could open a door
The sorting ceremony is to come
Four houses seeking their own special traits
You grow nervous, wishing to hug your mum
And hope you’re in a house with your best mates
A Gryffindor is brave beyond measure
Ravenclaws value an unmatchable wit
For sly Slytherins, pure-blood is treasure
If these don’t suit, Hufflepuff you’ll fit.
I await my fate, minutes ticking by
At last, “Ravenclaw!” the Sorting Hat cries.
