Why do we celebrate birthdays?
I mean obviously we are celebrating a full year of life gone by, but why? What does a birthday actually celebrate? Are we congratulating someone for living a whole year without dying? It is the anniversary of my birth, but why is that so important? A birthday is a day where people receive presents for living. There is no real reason to celebrate a birthday that is truly logical. If you can give me a reason in the comments why we celebrate birthdays, be my guest. I'm ready to here your reasons!

Well that's why I proposed this question, because it is a narcissistic "holiday" that doesn't need to exist.
