Fake a cancer diagnosis for Tengaged Stars support... so god forbid some people are skeptical of people instantly receiving tragic news whenever they join Stars.
At this point, if you join Stars and decide to blog about some devastating news. Expect some hesitation from the general public because we've all been duped one too many times.
Also how about leaving most of your personal life of tengaged? Not to sound like a dick, but most of these people don't actually give a fuck about your problems. Plussing someone's blog ≠ support
I understand some people would stoop that low, but I think it's wrong to assume they are lying. Be supportive and understanding first and if it does turn out to be false, judge later.
You can tell who was on early Tengaged based on the comments alone.
Imma just say that when my cat almost died the day I won stars, I didn't blog about it, as I did not want ppl to think I was trying to get stars support.
People clearly aren't familiar with the legend of lonlee, or the many users who have faked tragedy for stars support. Yeah, it's probably shitty to assume the worst in people and I would hope given recent world events and tragedies that people are different than they were a decade ago, or have grown as a society.
I disagree that people shouldn't blog about their personal lives here. Not everyone does, but for those that do, this can be a safe place for them to blog about what they are going through and receive support from people here. Allows them to share things they may not be comfortable to do on FB or in their IRL circles. I know when I comment on people's blogs about tragic events, my own comments are sincere and genuine and I disagree with the notion that most people don't give a fuck about your problems, because I think in general, most of us do care about others, especially when something serious has transpired.
I went through a huge death in my family during my stars and I didn’t blog or say shit about it. I didn’t want to use it for Stars support, but that’s just me. Idk how other people cope lol
I agree. Like it's tengaged, this site has many shitty people that would lie. I can choose not to take something as face value. Regardless though, my personal opinion is if you do receive tragic news, you should focus on that and not on tengaged / stars and probably best to log out to avoid the skeptics and trolls.
Yepppp. Anyone who has been here from 2008-2012 knows this and has every reason to be skeptical. Cancers, deaths, birthdays, marriages, etc. People have used every tragic and positive event in stars.
I don’t think there’s an issue with asking for proof or questioning it especially if the person has had other events in previous stars
lol yeah when I was in stars Snels66 used his friend's death to get me to not nominate him sio I am skeptical when things like this happen, however, I do choose to believe someone would not lie about something like that.
i personally prefer to give them the benefit of the doubt cuz if i dont i'll look like a jerk if it ends up being true and hurt their feelings in the process.
while i would never blog about it and join stars immeditaly, i can see why ppl cope with it that way, its not up to me to tell them how to feel about it at the end of the day
depends on the person and context tho, if its a known bizarre troll hmm well.. THAT PART.
