Orbis is a completely new concept, combining parts of old favourites with completely new elements.

The game will be split into rounds called Rotations. There will be 8 Rotations in all.

At the beginning of a Rotation, the players will be put into pairs completely randomly.

Every pair will compete in the first competition of the week, known as the Full Circle Competition.

These competitions have been designed to benefit pairs with both members present, but to still be playable with only one present.

The WORST performing pair in the Full Circle Competition will automatically become the first team up for elimination that Rotation.

There will be a tiebreaker if necessary to decide this.

The BEST performing pair in the Full Circle Competition will decide the second pair up for elimination.

The second competition of the Rotation is the Turnaround Competition.

Unlike most games where pairs up for elimination would fight for their fate, the Turnaround Competition is a matter of strategy and judgement.

The 2 pairs must each choose ANOTHER pair (not the FCC winners) to compete for them. They're not obliged to ask them, or even to tell them they're doing so. It will not be revealed to the pair chosen which pair it was, only that they have been selected.

The 2 selected pairs will join the FCC winners to compete.

If the FCC winners win again, they may keep the pairs up for elimination the same, or spare one pair. If they spare the pair they chose, they may choose again. If they spare the pair who finished last in the FCC, the SECOND worst team will take their place.

If one of the chosen pairs wins, the team who chose them will be automatically spared, and replaced by the same guidelines as above.

This brings us to the Elimination Vote.

Whatever has happened, 4 people should be up for elimination at this point. But everyone can now represent themselves as individuals.

Everyone (including those up for elimination) will rank the players up for elimination from 1 to 4. 1, earning 1 point, means most want to keep in the game. 4, earning 4 points means most want to leave.

The 2 players with the highest point scores will be eliminated and sent to the Roundhouse, irrespective of if they were paired or not, whilst the other two will remain in the game.

The cast, now missing 2 players, will be redrawn into a new combination of pairs. There is nothing stopping players being redrawn into the same pairs - it is completely random.

As the game goes on, little things will change to accommodate the changing numbers, but the fact will remain - last week's friend could now be your foe. Last week's enemy could now be your saviour.
