Cities of the Melo Region
Keystone City
On the surface of the White Lake, Keystone City is home to the first Gym Trainers normally challenge, Sopranus’ Flying Gym. It is smaller than most of the other cities, the entire city encased in a large glass dome that protects its citizens from the elements.
Treble Falls
Located next to the Blue Lake, Treble Falls is home to Basstien, the Water-Type Gym Leader of the Region. The city surrounds the lake rather than living on the waters, for fear of harming the Water-Type Pokemon that live within. Their city utilizes Solar Power and actively practices Conservation in the areas surrounding the Blue Lake, leading to the region being lush and home to some of the Regions only Grass and Bug-Type Pokemon. It is home to the Ranger’s Union and is the Headquarters of all Ranger activity in the Melo region.
Notewood
A large town rather than a City, Notewood rests on the surface of the Grey Lake. The whole town rests on a sort of platform several hundred feet over the water, giving them plenty of distance from nature down below. They are not as technologically advanced as most of the other Cities, however they make up for it with hard work and determination, using the rivers around the Grey Lake to supply the other Cities with a plentiful water supply. Alton, the Normal-Type Gym Leader, can be found in this city.
Ode Town
Resting on the side of one of the Region’s Mountains, Ode Town literally hangs over the Brown Lake of Melo. Its people are miners, utilizing both Machines and Pokemon to burrow deep within the range and bring forth all manner of fuels and building materials for the region’s cities. It is home to the first Harmonious Gym Contenders might face, with Barry and Tony, the Steel and Ground-Type Gym Leaders, calling the Town home.
Chorus City
Resting on the surface of the Purple Lake, Chorus City is the cultural center of the Region, as well as the main Tourist Attraction of Melo. It’s beautiful and stunning lake is made up of many different colors, almost like a rainbow, and the Professors attribute it to the region’s Pokemon, though they still do not understand how it happens. It is home to Harley and Monica, the Poison and Electric Gym-Leaders of Melo.
Dirge Alley
Now known as the Dead Lake, Dirge Alley rests inside a crater that once housed one of the Great Lakes of the Melo Region. Whatever happened to the lake is a mystery that Professor Conifer wishes to solve. It is home to the Gym Leader Dagio, a Dark-Type Gym Leader whose calm and cool attitude towards battling has become the stuff of legends.
