This game is based on the concept created by Bertram van Munster and Elise Doganieri where 10 to 14 teams compete in a race around the world. The race will be divided into small sections known as legs.

During each leg, teams will be tasked with completing tasks, solving clues, and even choosing transportation which will all be used to calculate your time. This time will not be stopped until the team reaches the end of the leg, commonly referred to as the Pit Stop. The last team to arrive at the Pit Stop will be eliminated unless it is one of the predetermined non-elimination legs. Teams who arrive at a non-elimination Pit Stop will be issued some form of a penalty that will need to be overcome in order to survive the next leg of the race.

This cycle will continue until there are only 3 teams left. Once there are 3 teams left, they will race in the Final Leg, where the team to arrive first will be crowned the winners of the Amazing Race.

Route Info - A Route Info clue is generally a hint to where the teams have to go next. To receive their next clue they must respond back with the correct answer or solution.

Roadblock - A Roadblock is a task that only one person completes. No person can complete more than 6 roadblocks during this season.

Detour - A Detour is a choice between 2 tasks each with its own pros and cons.

Speed Bump - A Speed Bump is a task for only the team that checked into a Pit Stop last but was not eliminated.

Fast Forward - A Fast Forward is a task in which the 1st team to complete it gets to head directly to the next Pit Stop.

Yield - A Yield allows one team to force another team to stop racing for a predetermined amount of time, usually 30 minutes.

U-Turn - A U-Turn allows one team to force another team to complete both sides of the Detour. U-Turns only appear directly before or after a Detour.

Face Off - The Head-to-Head forces teams to compete against each other one-on-one in a specific task. The winning team is given the next clue (or is allowed to check in at the nearby pit stop), while the losing team(s) must wait for the next team's arrival to start the task over.

Pit Stop - At the end of each leg there is a Pit Stop. The 1st team to arrive may win a prize while the last team to arrive may be eliminated. Teams are forced to stop here until the beginning of the next leg of the race.

Time Penalty - A time penalty is issued against a team for infraction of the rules or failure to complete a task. During a time penalty, a team must wait at the Pit Stop for the time to expire before being checked in; thus allowing other teams to check in and cause possible elimination.
