**HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD**

The start of each week will begin with the Head of Household competition. In the first Head of Household competition everyone will be eligible to compete, but in subsequent competitions the outgoing Head of Household will have to sit out of the competition. When there are only three houseguests remaining, everyone will be eligible to compete in the Final Head of Household competition, which will be split into three parts. The winner of the Head of Household competition will receive Safety for the week, and will be tasked with naming two other houseguests for Eviction.

The Head of Household will have approximately 24-hours to host their own Nomination Ceremony in the #kitchen, or they can just send me their nominations and reasonings in their Production Chat and I will host the ceremony for them. When conducting the Nomination Ceremony, the Head of Household will give out keys to each safe houseguest until only two players remain, where they must then briefly state why they have chosen to nominate each player.

**POWER OF VETO**

The Power of Veto Draw and Competition will be held after the Nomination Ceremony. Six players will compete in the Power of Veto competition: The Head of Household, the two nominees, and three houseguests selected by random draw. If a Houseguest's Choice Token is drawn during the Veto Draw, the person who drew the Token will have 3-minutes to publicly state in the #living-room who they are selecting to play, and they can only choose from the players participating in the Veto Draw. If they do not make a selection, the Houseguest's Choice Token will be returned to the bag and a new token will be drawn. After the Veto Draw, the Power of Veto Competition will then take place.

The winner of the Power of Veto competition will become the Veto Holder for the week. They will have the power to veto one of the Head of Household's nominees, removing them from the nomination block and forcing the Head of Household to name a replacement nominee. In the event that the Power of Veto is used, the Veto Holder cannot be named as the replacement nominee. The Veto Holder will have approximately 1-hour to host the Veto Ceremony and publicly state their decision in the #living-room, or they can just send me their decision and reasoning in their Production Chat and I will host the ceremony for them. In the event that the Power of Veto is used, the Head of Household will have approximately 1-hour to either publicly state in the #living-room or in their Production Chat for me to post the name of their replacement nominee and reasoning.

**EVICTION**

After the Veto Ceremony, all houseguests will have roughly 24-hours to submit their vote to evict one of the two nominees. Both nominees will not vote, and the Head of Household’s vote will only be used in the event of a tie. The houseguest who receives the most votes will be evicted from the MNRS 8: Big Brother - The Thousand Year Door house. The Head of Household competition will take place shortly after the Eviction.

This cycle will repeat until only three houseguests remain, where the final three will then compete in the Final Head of Household competition. The winner of the Final Head of Household competition will get to decide who advances with them to the final two and who is the last player evicted from the game. The final two houseguests will then face a jury vote of previously evicted houseguests to determine the winner of MNRS 8: Big Brother - The Thousand Year Door.

**STRIKES**

If a player receives three Strikes they will be removed from the game. Players can receive strikes in the following ways:

[1] Failure to vote when required to will result in you receiving a Strike.
[2] In the event that the Head of Household fails to submit their nominations, they will receive a Strike and be nominated next to another houseguest chosen by random draw.
[3] If the Veto Holder fails to submit their Veto decision, the Veto will automatically not be used and they will receive a Strike.

In the event that a nominated player Quits or is Removed from the game, the current Week will end and we will proceed to the next Head of Household competition. If a player who is not nominated Quits or is Removed from the game, the current Week will continue to be played out.

**COMPETITIONS**

Competitions will be a mix of live, semi-live, and nonlive challenges. Players will be given notice beforehand whether to expect live, semi-live, or nonlive for the upcoming competition. Live and Semi-Live challenges will take place at a predetermined time and houseguests will have a 10-minute check-in window to be able to compete. This is a hard deadline, meaning that houseguests who do not check-in before the check-in closes will not be allowed to participate in the competition. Live challenges will typically last anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour, while semi-live challenges may run longer and be less time-intensive. For nonlive competitions, houseguests will be given roughly 24-hours to complete the challenge.
