Sara de Blue - 'Out of the Twilight' (Austria's representant in ESCT 31)
Welcome to Austria's Selection for ESCT 32. Keeping the name of the already consacrated brand 'Wer singt für Österreich?' for ESCT, the things will be a little different this edition. It is not a national preselection with an international jury as it used to be, but we decided to host a show for our internal selection. The show will consist as it follows: there are 2 artists that have prepared a song and were selected as potential candidates to represent Austria in ESCT 32, both with one song. They will present their potential entries, then the head delegation of the country and the already consacrated internal juror will both discuss and get to an agreement to choose the winning song. The decision is not made yet and it will consist on analysing the songs to their full potential. Also, the reviews from the ESCT contest participants are welcome and could be a factor for the jurors' decision. Feel free to post your impression of the songs even in this thread or by private message, any review is appreciated. The winner will be chosen tomorrow. With that, let's hear what our artists have prepared not only for today but for an international contest!
ZOË - 'Heartbreaker'
Zoe Straub made a name for herself in the year of 2016 when she represented Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest, reaching the final and finishing in the 13th position with the song "Loin d'ici". She is a very pleasant present on Austria's scenes and she personalized her style by singing mostly in French, quite unusual for an Austrian artist. She is also a former representant in the ESCT contest for Austria, participating in the 25th edition, sadly failing to reach the final.
Parov Stelar ft. Krysta Youngs - 'Taking Over'
Our 2nd interpreter is not exactly a single artist, consisting of a collaboration between Parov Stelar on the studio and the vocalist Krysta Youngs. Parov Stelar is one of the most recognized names in Austrian music nowadays, the DJ being one of the most 'touring' artists of this country all over the world. He is well-known for his electronic swing music, a combination between the influence of vintage or modern swing and jazz mixed with house, and EDM.

Both songs are ok, but Zoe's song is a bit average, while Taking Over is something different from what we are used to see in ESCT and also from what Austria usually sends.
Definitely, Taking Over would be a better entry for Austria.

And now, let's find out who will sing for Austria in Norway. It was a very-very hard decision, we consider that both songs would have had pros to make a nice appearance in the contest, but after some details we took in consideration and after some reviews from Europe, we've made a decision. Austria's entry for ESCT 32 will be:
Parov Stelar & Krista Youngs - 'Taking Over'
