Hello hello hello! Welcome everyone to the werkroom. Ooh… such a week we had last week, didn’t we? We said goodbye to Cherry, Grace, Judas and Mother. But most importantly… last week’s immunity prize has rolled over to this week’s. So… let’s get started.
This week we’ve landed in…
🇨🇬 DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO!
We’ve seen time and time again African countries get exploited for and robbed out of their amazing and numerous raw materials. And so this week… we’re giving back.
👗 For this week’s maxi challenge you will be creating two looks : one for you, and one for a new character you will create. This new character has to be a new inductee in your personal haus so family resemblance is a must. This new character has to be black (the idea behind the challenge is we making over local people with their own first materials). So please let’s make this all out of respect. Also… why not trying a male counterpart? But of course… not mandatory.
Here’s the catch tho. At least one of the two looks has to be made out of the pngs I am about to give you. You can use your own hair and shoes, but the rest has to be made out of the following pngs (of course you can make both looks out of the pngs, but that’s up to you). And so… even the dress themselves have to look related somehow.
- You need to create the dress completely from the pics I am giving you (link above). Not from something that resembles it on your look making platform.
- You can use one item. You can use all of them. You can repeat each item for how many times you wish.
- You can use your own wigs and shoes. No accessories.
- You can reshape and recolor objects.
- You can use only portions of an object.
- You can’t make the objects look completely unrecognizable.
- You don’t need to be realistic. I will judge on the overall aesthetic.
If you are not familiar with editing pictures, there are some amazing free apps for mobile like PicsArt and for pc like Gimp. But there are also many online sites that will allow you to edit them without installing or downloading anything.
THIS IS A CREATIVE CHALLENGE SO BE CREATIVE! A strong concept is more important than a tight execution. But of course both are better.

Mama has been working for many many years with “AltroMercato” a fair trade organization that focuses on paying workers in third world countries a fair amount for their work since most of the times these countries and their workers get seriously exploited.
So, anywhere in the world, if you can, always try and find a “fair trade” logo on your groceries. Let’s try and make this world a better one even for the people.

For this makeover challenge I've made over this beautiful woman into my now drag sister "Pitahaya". We are both angels in the family, the thing is one is bad and one is good. We're serving rich colors and amazing outfits that are to die for.
We are serving Haus of Daze, Coffee Queen Fantasy. We got the high ponytail, serving mid-drift, Urinda is serving leg for Daze (hold the dairy), and we feel gorgeous
I am super happy with the outcome of this challenge. I had a hard time at the start and was struggling with the materials but now, I feel very happy that me and my drag daughter, Wasabi Yung look expensive, regal, and fun!! ✨
This is my drag son, El Cachorro, and we are living our Chicago dance scene fantasy. I'm a stripper turned showgirl, he's a ballet boy turned showboy, and together, we are going to give the audience what they want - more sass, more ass, no class.
Introducing Ms Ida Slept In.
We're wearing gowns covered in crystal gems that give us an alienesque but also a sophisticated royal look. Even our shoes have crystals on them!
I love how the sharp edges create drama. We also smoothed away some edges to create softer parts too. Ms Ida is a queen so she needed a suitable crown and she is wearing the fuck out of this one.
It's clear as crystal that we're having a ball in these outfits.
