The Harold Song (there isn't a music video for the song, just lyric videos)

"Wake Me Up When September Ends" is an emotional song by my band, Green Day. It describes the pain and suffering felt by Billie Joe Armstrong (lead vocals/guitarist) when his father died when Billie was a child.

The music video however tells another story. The story is of two inseparable lovers. The boy promises the girl that he will never leave her and be with her forever. The boy however joins the army as a way to show his love for his girlfriend and protect her. But the girl is heartbroken that the boy is leaving her as the boy promised her he would never leave her.

Whenever I listen to this song I always get goosebumps, and the lyrics make me sad thinking of loved ones that I've lost in my life. I hope you have a similar experience while listening to this song.
