Each season we like to throw in a twist to shake things up, and this being the final season, it's no different. Of course we will have the standard Double Evictions, but alongside that, we have this:

— — IMPACT PLAYER — —

This season’s main twist is called the IMPACT PLAYER, and here’s how it works.

Rather than manufacturing twists to be placed certain weeks of the game, the power to implement a twist or change to a week will now rest in the hands of a single person known as the Impact Player - a new power position in the game decided during the HOH competition.

The Impact Player will have a short time only after the HOH competition to select ONE of THREE changes (or ‘mutations’ as we call them) to the week to enter the game. These may only be minor changes, such as no Houseguest’s Choice in the Veto draw, but can escalate to the levels of removing the HOH from the Veto competition, or as far as triggering a Triple Eviction at the end of the week. These twists have been set into designated weeks.

The Impact Player may be presented with the opportunity to BE the impact of the week in the form of a power they bestow upon themselves, such as the ability to void eviction votes, gain Immunity at a cost, or become the Co-HOH.

The way you become the Impact Player can change depending on the competition, but it essentially involves either “bailing out” of your chance at the HOH to take the Impact Player power instead, or opting to play for Impact Player rather than HOH at the start of the competition.

For example, if it’s first to 5 points, it may be that you have to reach 3 or 4 points before you are allowed to bail out and become Impact Player. Only the first person (who meets the stated threshold) to state in the group forum “Shawn, I’m Bailing Out to Become Impact Player” will claim the power position. If the HOH is won before anyone takes the Impact Player power, then there is no Impact Player that week.

In another competition, you may instead have to decide before the competition begins whether you are playing for HOH or the Impact Player position, and will be unable to play for both. This splits the group into two who will continue to play the same competition, only competing against those vying for the same power. If no players opt to play for Impact Power, then no one will take it for the week. If only 1 person ops for Impact Power, they would win it automatically.

As you can see, the Impact Player is totally optional. It will not be forced upon anyone, and if no one achieves or takes it in a particular week, then there will be no Impact Player for that week. However, if you claim the Impact Player position, you MUST pick from one of the week mutators presented to you, you cannot just not pick.

OTHER QUICKFIRE NOTES

- Impact Players can only influence the week that they are in the position, thus any powers they gain do not have longevity beyond that week in the game.

- Any power or twist to the game implemented by the Impact Player will eventually be revealed publicly by the end of the week, but it may not happen immediately if it something such as an eviction vote voider. However, since the Impact Player identity is public, you will likely be hounded by others as to what you have picked if it still remains unknown to all for a lengthy period. This is to be considered.

- There is no rule against winning Impact Player in back to back weeks, however the Outgoing HOH will still remain unable to play the HOH competition the next week, and therefore will also be unable to gain Impact Player.
