Each season we like to throw in a twist to shake things up, and this season is no different. What's new is that this time we told you what it was so you could apply together! It's DOUBLE TROUBLE in the Big Brother house this holiday season, and here are the rules.

— — DOUBLE TROUBLE — —

This season we have ELEVEN pairs of players, setting a series record of TWENTY-TWO houseguests. For the first phase of this game will be locked into these pairs, and will be NOMINATED and EVICTED as duos, so that each round we lose two houseguests.

However, competitions will remain individual, apart from the fact that they are divided between the partners each week. ONE of you will play HOH, and ONE of you will be eligible to be picked for POV. No one player may compete in both competitions for their pair in the same round, unless it is a Double Eviction night. You are NOT forced to swap out which comp you play each week. So you can do POV two weeks back to back if you want, or mix and match. It's up to you and your availability.

Now this is the bit people were asking about - COMPETITION ELIGIBILITY. You will always MATCH your partner's eligibility in competitions. SO that means if you win HOH one week, you are BOTH ineligible to play the next week as if one of you was outgoing HOH. Vice versa, when one of you wins HOH, the other will be able to play POV by default as if they were the HOH winner themselves, alongside the two competing members of the nominated pairs.

The other individual aspect of this game is VOTING - yes you each get your own solo vote at evictions. That means when a member of a pair wins HOH, their partner is -ALSO- ineligible to vote. That means 6 ineligible voters per round!

This twist will last a significant portion of the game, to line the size of this cast up with a standard length Suitman's Big Brother season, which is 27 days. Hold tight y'all, there's lots of game to play.
