— — DUEL OF THE VOTES — —
This season's twist is called the Duel of the Votes, and it introduces a new third competition each week, between just two houseguests
Here's how it works. Each week, after the final nominee's are set, they have one final chance to potentially alter their fate.
They will each select one player that is not a nominee or HOH to go head to head against the other nominee's selection in a duel. The two face off, and the winner has a decision.
They can either have TWO votes to cast at the impending eviction, or ZERO votes to cast at the impending eviction.
The choice is up to them. However, whichever option they don't pick, will be received by their opponent - the person they just defeated.
So now this falls back to those nominees. Who do they pick to play in the duel? Who would benefit their game by potentially voting twice? In this game, sometimes, one vote can tip the balance. It's one last lifeline to stay in the game.
LOGISTICS:
Due to there being only 24hrs between final noms and eviction, I will ask initial noms and basically everyone to try and submit their duel picks *before* final noms are set, which is when I'll post the all NON-LIVE duel comps. You will have until 10am EST at the latest to submit a name for the duel if you are a nominee, but remember that the longer you wait the less time that person gets to attempt the duel, as it's posted the previous night after POV. The comp ends at the end of eviction voting time - 4pm EST. Both duellers will be required to submit TWO votes in case, with the results made PUBLIC before the evicted houseguest is announced. Results may be revealed earlier if results are in earlier, extensions MAY be granted if a player has not been on since they were elected to duel.
