When you return to Suitman’s Survivor, you always know there are twists coming your way. Here’s all you need to know to the revamping of SUITBUCKS, and the mysterious new TOTEM TALISMAN. Plus, a refresher on the IDOL BOARD system.

— SUITBUCKS —
This season, SuitBucks is returning for a fourth appearance. However, it has been revamped with new rules.
For those unaware, SuitBucks is a form of currency in which groups of players share the same bank of money which can be used throughout the game to pay for advantages and power in the game.
Here’s what’s changed. The ‘factions’ concept is no more. SuitBucks will now be tied to TRIBES, with one bank for each of the Dakhla, El Marsa and Tarfaya tribes, starting with 10 SuitBucks. This season when you swap tribes, you will ALSO swap SuitBuck banks, moving you to the bank of your NEW tribe.
Throughout the pre-merge portion of the game, you may locate opportunities via the Idol Board tempting you to BUY a variety of game advantages or opportunities using your tribe’s own SuitBucks.
Previously, the tribe or faction with the most cash at the merge would gain group immunity - But again, this is no more. Instead SuitBucks have a NEW purpose in the merge to be revealed at a later date. The fact remains though that having a tribe with more SuitBucks remaining will STILL be to your benefit come the merge phase.
Previously, SuitBuck total updates were posted publicly, but this will not happen this season. Instead each episode, tribes will be updated on their new totals in their own solitary tribe chats. It is then at the player’s own discretion if they do wish to disclose totals.
Also changing things this season, SuitBucks will also come into effect during some challenges in unexpected ways. Plus, the Hidden Immunity Idols are no longer free. If you find one on the idol board they must now be BOUGHT.
Those are the major alterations. We are keeping the twist fresh and making tweaks that we hope will keep things a little interesting. The rules on SuitBuck trading and selling remain similar to before.
Selected purchasable advantages may be sold to any player not in the finder's own tribe. However, once the advantage has been purchased it functions like any normal game item, whereby it can only be further transferred among players on the same tribe so long as the individual rules allow it. This season, some advantages will not be eligible to be sold to opposing tribes, and can only be bought.
Players are allowed to make SuitBuck-Only Gifts from their tribe's pool to other players in different tribes, as a form of bartering or transfer. However there are restrictions to avoid deliberate emptying of accounts. Each player is only allowed ONE SuitBuck-Only Gift to another castaway per episode, can only give away a maximum of 3 SuitBucks, and at least 1 SuitBuck must remain in the account after the trade is over. These rules do not apply to advantage purchasing through official channels.

— TOTEM TALISMAN —
This season there is a NEW item in the game, and it’s called the TOTEM TALISMAN.
It’s ultimate power is unknown, but one player on EACH tribe will be voted to posses a Talisman by their tribe on Day 1, and it WILL have an impact on the game as it progresses.
The Talisman has the ability to OUTLAST its owner, as they will BEQUEATH ownership of the item to another player on any tribe. Beyond the initial public owner, this transferable item’s future owners, if any, will remain secret.
Speculate all you like about this new power, but what it does will not be immediately clear. Instead, you will have to wait for the season to progress for when it comes into play…

— IDOL BOARD —
In Gen 3 we have introduced the new concept of the IDOL BOARD, which has evolved into a linchpin of how the game functions. In each episode, you will get to pick one of the spots on your camp’s Idol Board to search, where you could find a Hidden Immunity Idol, or other advantage to help you in the game.
