It's been a long 6 years since camera's were spotted at the infamous "Melrose Place" complex here in Hollywood. The crown jewel of Social Reality/Role Playing on Tengaged that people will never forget is set to re-open its gates to the public has producers and the CW Network execs are looking for a fresh new crew to bring back the magic and prestige to social reality that has been missing from the genre (no shade).
The series will follow young adults looking for their big break in Hollywood whether it be through music, modeling, acting or just wanting to lead a normal life in a city where nothing has it seems most of the time. "What we're looking for is a group/cast of people that click, and really embrace Hollywood and want to shine bright that they'll do whatever it takes to be in the spotlight." says Executive Producer Dan Collins. "When you look at past seasons and the two groups we had in the past and followed, they all had the "it" factor and no matter how tough things got they were their for one another." he says.
"We want to bring a new audience. This type of series has been missing from Social Reality for years and I think in this new age or insta-fame and social media, it will clearly show are show is different from what everyone else is doing. Zombies and Death are cool, but we're trying to be an alternative to that...just as those shows were the alternative to us at our peak. And all those copy cat show that tried to do "Melrose Place." - laughs Sally Timmons, one of the shows producers since the first season (old cast).
We'll have to see if this new and improved show will bring people/viewers back to the complex where so many people got their start on Tengaged. But I know we'll be watching, commenting, tweeting and snap chatting all season long. The network will be sending out this press release hoping for a good response, with casting starting very soon. A premiere party hasn't been set yet, or casting party (In past season's, the cast and newbies would walk their first red carpet and be asked questions from media outlets across the globe and at the party the cast is revealed to the media, with the cast moving into the complex shortly after) but the network has already partnered with VOGUE Magazine to host its big party in L.A.
