The Crisis begins with the return of the CRYSTAL MAZE, which will serve as the opening purge competition for the next three days.
Players will be divided into 10 teams of 4 for the first three days of the competition. On Days 1 and 2, players will compete in one challenge each for their respective teams, in order to win crystals to gain time advantage at the Crystal Dome on Day 3.
Each challenge will fit one of the following categories:
- MENTAL - A Trivia game
- PHYSICAL - A Speed games
- SKILL - A Puzzle game
- MYSTERY - ? ? ? ? ?
In each competition players are ranked by placement, and score a number of crystals depending on that placement. Each crystal is worth +10 seconds time advantage in the Crystal Dome purge task.
However, not competing in your respective challenge for your team will trigger an ALIS (automatic lock in situation). This scores you no Crystals, and will render you unable to compete at the Crystal Dome to help your team survive the purge. If and ONLY if ALL 10 players play a task, the ALIS will be instead be given to that challenge's worst performer.
The Crystal Dome will rely on BOTH time advantage and strength in numbers - so gain the Crystals and don't flop!
Here is when each comp type will take place:
- MENTAL - 5pm EST Thursday
- PHYSICAL - Non live between Thurs and Fri comps
- SKILL - 6pm EST Friday
- MYSTERY - Non live between Fri and the Sat/Sun PURGE
You will only be able to compete in ONE competition for your team, so when you are all together the decision must be made amongst you as to who plays once.
The last TWO teams to finish the Crystal Dome purge task, will have all EIGHT of their members eliminated, leaving us with our Final 32.
