Main Event Finale 1 (4 remain) – Queen Me
This challenge will take place on a gameboard which is an 9x9 grid. You will each start with three game pieces on one side of the board. The aim of the game is to get one of your pieces to the directly opposite side of the board from where you started. Each of the pieces can move omnidirectionally. You can move them one space forward, one space along any of the diagonals, 2 spaces horizontally or two spaces directly backward.
You will take turns calling out your moves in the public game chat. You will use the grid provided (an excel sheet) to call out your moves. Each of the positions of the gameboard can be called out by their grid position. For example, a starting move for the red player could be:
E1 to E2.
After each move, I will post an updated version of the gameboard in the public chat. You will move in turn order Red-Orange-Blue-Purple. Your positions were randomly selected after yesterday’s elimination.
For this game you can also take pieces. You take pieces like pawns in chess. If an opponent has a piece in a front facing diagonal position to you, you may take that piece. The piece will be reset to a random location on the players starting line. Please be cautious... it is based on the players starting direction. Therefore, you must pay attention to the direction that all four players are playing in, otherwise you could find your piece being reset. You may use Garnets in this game. Spending a garnet allows you to move a second piece for that turn. You may only use 1 Garnet per turn. You must message me in your private channel BEFORE you take your first move. You must move a different piece; you cannot move the same piece twice in one turn.
If a player reaches the other side of the gameboard then they are safe and through to the next round of the finale. All their pieces will be removed from the gameboard, and the game will continue. We will keep playing until 3 players have succeeded. The player still left on the board will be eliminated.
For winning yesterday’s Main Event, Christian starts with two pieces already moved one space forward.
To add a little extra to the game, if you end the game with one of your other pieces in the middle 9 squares (highlighted green on the gameboard), you will earn 5 Garnets giving you a boost heading into the Final Main Event Part 2. Good luck! <3
