imageRicky Hatton vs. Manny Pacquiao, also billed as The Battle of East and West, is a boxing light welterweight superfight for the International Boxing Organization (IBO) and The Ring light welterweight (super lightweight) championship. The bout will be between Manny Pacquiao of General Santos, Philippines and Ricky Hatton from Stockport, United Kingdom.

The superfight will be held on May 2, 2009 at the MGM Grand Las Vegas at Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.

Martin Nievera, a Filipino singer, has been picked to render the Philippine national anthem for Pacquiao's battle against Hatton. He would be the first ever male recording artist to sing the anthem at Pacquiao's bout.[1]
