Okay hi guys!! I'm posting this early because I won't be home for DC. I don't want to make this too long or boring (spoiler alert it will be both of those things) but I would really appreciate any reads/plusses!
On my stars history: Exactly 150 stars ago, I enrolled into my first stars as a really naive and completely unknown silver level on my previous account. I still remember the first time I went up (for 11th) and the majority of the pollbox commented saying that they had never heard of #sd66 which was kind of humiliating. Naturally, I got evicted. For some reason, almost 3 years and 8 stars later, I've become almost obsessed with actually winning the game or at least making finals...I don't know whether I just really need online validation from internet people or whether it's to make up for my previous stars mistakes (posting porn in the Stars 129 pollbox comes to mind...)
Needless to say, my stars history is pretty interesting and even if I don't win this game, I'll still keep trying (although not for a while) like I have been for the past 3 years.
On this game and my strategy: I've been criticized by a few people inside the game once they left (namely rawritsnick and carlisle). I don't really hold any ill feelings towards them and I hope they don't either. Nick said that he expected me to go up on the block multiple times after he left, but I only went up once after that (it was kind of inevitable, everyone got renommed at least once, and I was the last to do so).
David, on the other hand, said that I sheeped the whole game and that I wanted to be flavored. Again, my entire game was spent trying to stay off the block. One thing I really hate is when people mention how many times they were a counter but I think that's only because in my previous stars, whenever I was a counter I would automatically go up LOL. However, in this game, I can proudly say that during the 10 rounds between the 1st and 2nd times I was nominated, I was a counter 5 times against people like Carlisle, Sarah48, and Nick. As far as I'm concerned, my biggest strategy in the game was aligning myself fully with not only people I could trust, but people that I thought I had a better chance to beat if I was paired against them, rather than people I felt that I would lose to such as the 3 I mentioned before and others like JJ99/Splozo/JGoodies. And this paid off, I think. I went up with Chase and Jon, who I trusted 100%, but those two percentages are my best ever and I don't think I would have had that success otherwise.
I have never survived more than 2 polls in any stars, so I all I did was make sure that I did not go up more than two times in this game, and I achieved that.
On vlogging: You know I was totally going to try to make one when I thought I was going up for 7th against Carlisle and then again for 6th, but seriously each time I sat in front of the computer and started recording I'm pretty sure I legitimately got stage fright.........alone in my room. I don't want to make a vlog if I don't really have any good ideas to do for it because I feel like lately the oversaturation of vlogs has been kind of ridiculous so I'll save you all the trouble of looking @ my face
Lastly, I just want to say a very sincere good luck to both of my opponents!! I'm posting this early so I'm not exactly sure who the 3rd person in the F3 will be but I can honestly say that Sarah, James, and Alec are all genuinely nice people and I hope I can be friends with them after the game.
