First and foremost, I think Tengaged has nailed this virtual Big Brother simulation. It feels very much like you are really in the Big Brother house. I'd have to even say that the strictness, such as not being able to join a game until your current game is finished and the steep entry costs, though frustrating, is actually exactly how this needs to be. It forces players to take the games seriously, put effort in, be active, and try to stick it out to the end. Kudos to Tengaged on this very very well executed online Big Brother game.
Now, in saying that, I think they are missing a few crucial pieces that would make this PERFECT.
1. We NEED competitions. Basing some evictions (and HOH) on activity is a good way of keeping people active, but doesn't feel enough like a game. I especially think this is crucial for Veto, as giving it out randomly takes a large piece of Big Brother away - competing for your safety. Without competitions, it just doesn't feel quite right.
2. I think we need 14-16 player BB USA games. 10 just doesn't feel like enough. Make the first 2 or 3 days double eliminations.
3. Though the strictness is nice, they need to loosen up a little. I would love to play BB USA games, but I have to get 45 T$ before I can even play my first game. That means I have to wait a minimum of 8-9 days AND I have to place in the top 2 of both Castings games to even afford Rookies 1 time. This is a little too harsh.
Anyway, that's my initial take on this site. I love it so far and am thrilled to see a BB online game site so well executed. I've been wanting to make something like this for a few years but have never had the opportunity to invest the time and resources into making it happen. Very cool that Tengaged pulled this off!
Good ideas. But it isn't too strict. You'll be playing rookies games in no time. Any quicker, and it just means you don't work for anything. Joining games is fine how it is; trust me.
