The Different Characters in Fastings (Part 2) Dec 5, 2012
Part 1: http://www.tengaged.com/blog/imAfighter/3683785/the-different-characters-fastings-part-1

OK, so once again, I've only played two(!) fastings and not trying to be a know-it-all, but here's just my insights on the types of characters we fasters encounter in fastings:

The BB14 Danielle:
The Danielle is the puppet to the puppet master, just like what Danielle was to Dan. Usually, Danielles are newbies who haven't got a clear idea in mind on what their strategy is, so they tag along with another person who is unfortunately, a BB14 Dan. (see Part 1)
Avoid being a Danielle, but always try to get one!

The BB3 All-Star Danielle:
Just to avoid some confusion, I put an "All-Star" to this Danielle's name so that the BB13 Daniele & BB14 Danielle may be differentiated. The BB3AS Danielle is the one who is all nice in the public chat but is secretly thinking "One down... thirteen to go." The Danielle is a likable person, but make him paranoid and you're out. Usually, a lot of people will see through his act, but by then, it's far too late.
The BB3AS Danielle is a troublesome fellow and if you're gonna play as one, make sure your alliances are air-tight.

The BB6 Jennifer:
In some games, the Jennifer is the reason for an uproar. They do one... ONE big power move by backstabbing someone (preferably a leader of an alliance) and they're out the next day!
Avoid being a Jennifer, or if you've been a floater waiting to make a big move, be the Jennifer in the F5/F4.

The BB10... Pick Anyone in the Cast:
Remember BB10 when there was a fight in almost every episode which lead to the hilarious and awkward Happy Birthday song? Some people are just like that here, making drama in the house by showing their anger towards people who backstabbed them and making the game personal.
DO NOT choose this character if you want to win.

The BB12 Matt:
The Matt truly is a sad lamb. The Matt is the person who thinks his alliance is super strong... until he gets nominated. Then, sometimes it goes either way: He expects the blindside and tries to get everyone else to vote for him or he is assured that he is just a "pawn" that the alliance will save. Either way, he's going home. The Matt is nominated probably because his alliance thinks he's a strong threat and will win the F3 and his name is being ruined by other players.

The BB5 Nakomis:
This character is named after Nakomis, who invented the infamous Six-Finger Plan. The plan was super smart but was abusive to the rules, so it resulted to the BB producers making the PoV players be chosen by random draw. Just like her, the Nakomis abuses some Tengaged rules to their advantage such as:
(1) The F4 POV! The Nakomis plans to win this so he has the ultimate power to decide who stays and who goes. He is delighted when the #1 threat gets the F5 POV (you can't win 2 POVs in a row in the site) & 2 inactives/non-talkers are with him in the F5. Once the 5th placer is decided, he wins the F4 POV and evicts the #1 threat to win the game.
(2) The ability to nominate oneself. This gives him a reason to be "paranoid" with another player and to lessen others' thinking of him as a threat.
(3) Negging. To ensure the threat doesn't win POV, the Nakomis negs every comment of said threat.
Being the Nakomis of a game is a good way to get yourself a high position, but be prepared to fight off angry victims!

Until the next part! :)

The Different Characters in Fastings (Part 1) Dec 4, 2012
I've only ever played 2 fastings, and I'm not trying to be a know-it-all, but here are some of the "characters" I've met in those games and how I think they generally do in fastings:

The BB12 Kathy (aka Inactives):
Just chilling doing everything EXCEPT play the game... or probably sleeping. They're ultimately thrown out but some Kathys tend to stay a little while longer for pawn purposes and to ensure that the actives have the POV (although sometimes it backfires)
The worst get last place while I've seen some soar to F3.

The BB14 Dan:
The smartest player in the game. Usually, Dans are already seen as threats but they talk their way out of being put in the block. They basically run the game.
It's a hard character to spot, but once you spot a Dan, get rid of him!

The BB6 Janelle:
This player is reliant on POV wins to get to the F3. The Janelles are the ones who sweet talk their way in the public chat, but has a gameplay in mind.
Get rid of this person especially if he has a shot to win the F4 POV.

The BB2 Chilltown:
They are two people who stick together and probably a premade. They play dirty and the thing is: no one realizes they're the masterminds behind the game... until they do.
They'll probably end up in 1st-7th depending on their masquerade game.

The BB13 Daniele:
This person isn't afraid to cause trouble. Beware if you're in a big [premade] alliance because a Daniele may strike. Danieles are the ones paranoid that they'll be the first one gone from the alliance once the enemies are gone. So, the Daniele will ally with the enemies and try to send some of the other members of his/her original group home.
From personal experience, being a Daniele must involve knowing every alliance in the group and is okay enough to get you 1st-8th.

The BB14 Frank:
The Frank is the one who's on the block almost every day... yet he doesn't get evicted! It means: a.) He's the official pawn of an alliance or b.) He's just that damn good. Hopefully, no one sees him as a threat with all the almost-evictions he gets.

The BB6 Kaysar:
The failed chessmaster. He tries to know everything about the house by getting some information from others. The Kaysar is pretty safe... until someone realizes something is fishy. He'll be packing his virtual bags in no time!
