knowing there’s people on Twitter that think that maybe a few hundred people at most going on strike from school/work in the USA is going to do anything for Palestine. Like… We’re on the other side of the world, so what exactly is that going to accomplish? 😭

Edited bc I accidentally said other side of the country instead of other side of the world 💀

I do support Palestine and all. I just… don’t see the point of some of these strikes? Plus I’m sure schools and workplaces aren’t going to accept that as an excuse not to come in? And a lot of people live paycheck to paycheck, so expecting everyone to do that is just not reasonable imo?

Tea giddy, it's a bunch of very privileged gays expecting this to become a reality. People can not and should not put their entire livelihoods on hold for something happening on the other side of the world. It's not realistic, and very performative.
