Sexuality Apr 19, 2016
Figuring out your own sexuality is hard, incredibly hard. A lot of people will want to label you, and as long as you're completely fine with being labelled then there's nothing wrong with that. You may not be so certain about a label, and others labelling may cause you to feel uncertain, pressured or uneasy.

Sexuality is a scale, it is not black and white. You're not either gay or straight, it's not even as easy as gay, straight and bisexual. I am bisexual myself, and the level of attraction I feel to either sex is not equal. I consider myself to be 60% straight and 40% gay in simple terms but it's really far more complicated than that, mostly to do with emotional and physical attraction. It's not easy to describe your sexuality without a label, but really, in today's society we don't need labels. You just do whatever makes you comfortable and happy, if you feel a label suits you, then use it, if you dislike labels, then don't. The choice is entirely yours, and all that matters is that you're happy and feel comfortable with yourself.

Ignorance Apr 18, 2016
I know this site has a lot of young people on it. A lot of them being below the age of 15, and I really doubt that they're all over 13 with the way some people present themselves. There are some things that are sensitive topics; sexuality, gender identity, self harm, suicide, etc. All I seem to be seeing is these "young people" making light of these issues in their blogs, vocalizing their disdain or opinions in the most immature and ignorant of ways and then not understanding the negative backlash they receive.

I am transgender. I am bisexual. I do not need someone to tell me that I shouldn't be "whining" about having to come out, because it's so easy. Or that being transgender is simple, just chop off or add on the parts you want and voila!

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, that does not mean you are correct, that also does not mean you are protected from someone rebutting. I do not get easily offended, I can't afford to be with everything that will be thrown at me in the future. But this is the kind of ignorance that slips through the cracks, that can be fixed if acted on, people need to be educated. It's not because I'm butt hurt or can't take a joke. I just don't want people thinking it's okay to say things that completely disregard the basic feelings and rights of others.
