kc’s takesies : CHLOE X HALLE HIVE WON . 🐝🐝🐝 outside of Catch Up and Overwhelmed i enjoyed every track on here. Catch Up i kind of like, and i actually really like the Chloe x Halle verses, but it simply FAILS as single in comparison to Do It and Forgive Me. there’s not a SINGLE MISS on here. i’m OBSESSED it’s been on repeat quite literally since it dropped. i downloaded it at midnight and haven’t stopped replaying it since. the VOCALS, the MUSIC, some of THE LYRICS, it’s HIT after HIT. i’ll be fair and say i like some songs BETTER than i like others, but overall this entire album will be on REPEAT until future notice, i’m an Ungodly Hour stan. I think in comparison to their last album The Kids Are Alright, which i also LOVED, this was better. i think being only 13 tracks, 2 of which was an intro and an interlude of sorts, i could see myself relistening to every single song on here, whereas TKAA was so overlong with 18 tracks, i don’t relisten to a handful of them now. this album has more replay value, and it also has a more mature vibe. Chloe x Halle are growing ! they are GROWN now 🤪
just an FYI, Overwhelmed i thought was cute, and i ... like it vocally and everything... but it feels so out of place? like intro has a direct connection to Forgive Me and adds to the entire album, Overwhelmed just ... feels like it was added in there? out of place.
zu's review: i dont have much to say. every song was a net positive to me! even the worst songs on the album are superb upon relisten. bravissima!
