kc’s takesies : it was soooo good, there’s no song that i’m outright disgusted by. i’m familiar with Ms. Apple as a person who exists, but not as a musician, i didn’t know much of her work before, but now i might go back and re-examine her prior work, because this was unlike anything we’ve listened to yet! she mighta went off! some songs don’t hit me the same way others do, but the aesthetics and vibes are THERE. i’m a fan of this! kc’s gold star its given!.
zu's reviu: fiona apple is back from her 8 year yatus! admittedly some of the songs were a bit...weird at first. things like the dolphin orgasm at the end of "i want you to love me" gave me the feeling of discomfort and confusion. but in the latter half of the album i think i assimilated to her style a lot and i thought they were all stunning! fetch the bolt cutters is an album full of personality and quirk. "heavy balloon" in particular is an inimitable masterpiece. superb!
