KC’s takesies : I really don’t have strong strong opinions about any of these songs, they’re really corny and heard-before. I see a bit of praise for this album by the few people who have actually listened to it, and I’m really trying to understand... why? Like, it wasn’t actively horrible, but it added nothing to pop culture, and will likely be forgotten by next year, just like the rest of Meghan Trainor’s discography.
zu's clues: this album was soooo boring. you'd think someone who plagiarizes both lady gaga and psy in one record could churn out something worth listening to. meghan only manages to do one thing well with this album, and that is ascend herself to the ranks of the most middling pop monstrosities of the 2020s. hopefully now she will reconsider being able to "write a song in 5 minutes xd" as a veritable talent of hers.
FINAL ALBUM RATING: ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆
