Forgiveness?

imageSo here's a little insight of what's going on if anyone cares to read this haha.

I really need advice on this matter. There is a guy that graduated a class ahead of me, that caused drama and began to spread lies and rumors about me such as me being gay. A close mutual friend told me. I am not gay however I do support #LGBT. I was bullied and ridiculed because the jocks and the "elite" guys at school (mainly middle school) would call me gay. They said this because I never really hung out with guys like that, I have VERY few guy friends at that.

Anyways this guy that I was talking about above, I became pretty cool friends with him since knowing him since my freshmen year but never really said anything to him until he was a senior and we had vocal ensemble together. I recently found out this guy hurt his "best friend"(the same friend that told me he went behind my back and said these things) in a similar manner but they are on good terms. I also found out that this guy was bullied because people think he is gay. I stood up for this guy on numerous occasions from people ridiculing him for things such as having a major lisp, his walk, and other things. I was also there for this guy when he just wanted to give up and I have given him food when he was hungry.

Should I just talk to him or confront him about the situation. I have no clue how to start it or how to even bring up the matter.

Tengaged Users, I am asking what I should do. So please comment below on what I should do. (Hateful comments will be removed along win inappropriate comments.)
