Since I had so much time in quarantine, I listened to way more projects than usual, 40 to be exact. Most are albums, but there's 2 or 3 EPs in there so I thought it'd be fun to rank them!
#39 is.......how i'm feeling now - Charli XCX
Highlights - I actually enjoy i finally understand a fair bit. It's a piece of work that actually ended up all clicking, but obviously party 4 u is the clear standout here. It's just all clicks, like i finally understand, but then it goes beyond that and just snaps at you! Everything flows perfectly and the experimental production that's featured throughout the album actually works here. Great song to drive to at night when you're in your feelings.
Lowlights - Over half the album rip. I'll focus on the first two tracks on the album: pink diamond and forever. They're the only two songs in history to receive the lowest rank possible: the grey rank. I just-- I- Justin Bieber didn't even get this low. Last year, Miley's Cattitude with RuPaul didn't even get it. Like...I was barely even able listen to these. To each their own, but the experimental production choices were not for me whatsoever and actually really hurt my ears. Like they didn't sound good whatsoever and was actually causing me physical pain. At least the album got better from there, but with them having the grey rank, there was no way possible to get worse...
