Since I had so much time in quarantine, I listened to way more projects than usual, 40 to be exact. Most are albums, but there's 2 or 3 EPs in there so I thought it'd be fun to rank them!
Highlights: Um...none. The only song that I have ranked positively is Yummy and I'm even second-guessing that. I think Yummy is a bad song, but I do think it reached a point where it was so bad that it became slightly good. I have it added to zero playlists and still don't seek it out to listen to, but it is catchy in all the worst ways...but that's enough to be the best on this album. Still wondering how Yummy got nominated for a Grammy though.
Lowlights: Everything. I really am not even saying this to trash on Justin. Like I actually really enjoy his previous era, the Purpose era. Sorry, Love Yourself, etc all good songs actually, but this album just...ugh. If you've heard Khalid's Free Spirit album, it's like that but way worse. I mean that in the sense that every single song sounds the same, but unlike Khalid where the songs were okay/meh, all the songs on here are just bad. Justin tried to not go straight-up pop like usual and it failed miserably. I've only recently started ranking albums the past two years but this is easily the worst album I've ranked so far.
