Rant Time: Bets Sep 21, 2011
This third installment of my Rant series will look at betting in Rookies games. I know that many people will disagree with this post but I just want to express my feelings.

Have you ever been in a game where people don't want to vote someone out because they have a lot of bets on them? I personally think that letting the amount of bets people have influence your decision is a stupid way to play the game. I mean it is called a 'bet' not a guarenteed way to make your money back.

Just for the record I've personally lost money betting, and I know it is frustrating, but its part of the game. If I want to make a safe bet to almost guarentee that I'll double my bet I will only bet on a charity game or some sort. Otherwise, it doesn't matter how highly ranked a player is, a bet is a bet and it can easily be lost like real money can at the casinoes.

Let me know your opinion on this topic, and I feel like may people may disagree with me on this one so express it in a professional manner please.

Rant Time: Inactives Sep 21, 2011
So, I've been thinking. Why do a weekly rant post if things come up sooner? So whenever something is bothering me enough to blog about it I'm going to put up a Rant Time post.

In this second installment of Rant Time I'm taking on the idea of inactives.

In Fastings, Inactives annoy pretty much everyone. What if this was a solvable issue? I believe that tengaged should add a 'drop out' button before a game starts that allows someone to drop out of a game in case they have to leave. With many games taking hours to start (including frookies since one currently there has been up for nearly 12 hours!) people are sometimes long gone before a game starts. Instead of being able to fill this spot with an active player it is filled with someone who had to leave before the game even started. I know that I personally would rather wait a little longer but have everyone active.

There is also a bunch of people that go inactive in the middle of the game. This wouldn't be an issue if they didn't slow down the voting. What if an option was chosen where a player could drop out of a game, or if once a player has been inactive for more than 10 minutes the game no longer waits for their votes to be cast if they are only ones left?

Something has to be done about this Inactive issue, and perhaps certain measures like these could be done to help it. Let me know what you think, and if you have any other ideas that Tengaged can add in order to help with this issue please post them. Share this blog with your friends!

Weekly rant: Charity games Sep 20, 2011
So I'm thinking about posting a weekly rant post and this is my first installment.

Does anybody else find it annoying that it is hard to join a rookies game. They never seem to fill up and every other one seems to be somebody's landmark or charity game. This wouldnt be as bad if they had 12 friends to join with them but many just have a few which means other people won't join because they want to win. Also this may not be an issue if there were more than just a couple rookies games starting each day. If I win my 100th or whatever game it will be because I earn it not because I'm surrounded mostly by friends.

Let me know your opinion on this issue and share it with your friends.

Strategical or Personal? Sep 18, 2011
So my first rookies game really got me thinking a little. What type of game would the people of Tengaged most like to play; a strategical game or a personal game. In an ideal world one plays some a both but if you could only pick one which would it be?

Strategical- Willing to vote off people you like if it means getting you farther in the game.

Personal- Keep people you like if it means you have less of a chance to make the finals.

I'd consider myself a strategical player, what would you say about your games. No it depends answers please.
