The title isn't a joke, I literally got hit by a bus today.
I was driving to school (first day by the way) and I pulled up to a stop sign. I leaned forward into the turn and a school bus came and hit me from the driver side. The bus driver didn't realize he hit me until a few second went by so I was essentially pulled into the middle of the road.
After that this mom came over and said "I can't believe my child is going to be late on the first day of 7th grade." (The bus was for the middle school near my high school) and I was biting my tongue so hard it was almost bleeding. I sarcastically replied "sorry, the next time I decide to get hit by a bus it'll be on the second day of school."
The cops came and he was nice to me, myself, the cop, and the bus driver agreed that it wasn't my fault but my car is still fucked.
It turns out that the bus thought that I turned when I was still at the stop sign, so he tried to drive on top of me not realizing I was there.
I'm not hurt or anything but it was a very scary situation. My car won't be good for weeks and my insurance is going up, but at least I'm alright.
