This format should be a fast game because of how long this might take. Each round should take 15 minutes by timer. But obviously can be cut short due to everyone voting and doing the challenges.
I think it would be really fun and different to have a duos type of game. I like the concept of duos a lot, however there are a few factors that could make duos completely awful.
1. You and your partner don't like each other, so one of you throws.
2. Your partner refuses to do anything even though you get along.
But I think that this format kinda solves that problem. So let me explain!
~~ DAY 1 ~~
30 people enroll, and you are put into 15 duos. This is NOT done randomly. Just like in the show, we are going to have a selection process for duos. There will be a duel-like list that you can order from most wanted partner, to least wanted. And based on everyone's lists you will get a partner. If someone fails to submit a list, they will automatically have put everyone "last" and the first person that selected them will become their partner.
How do ties work in that process? Well, if Person 1 and Person 2 both want Person 3, but Person 3 puts Person 2 above Person 1, then Person 2 becomes their partner.
~~ DAY 2 ~~
So after duos are decided we go into the first challenge. All teams will play a comp and their combined total will decide which team becomes the Double Agents.
While everyone is playing the comp, like the Duel, you will also need to vote on the team that you want to send into elimination. Again, make a Duel-Like list and order the teams from most wanting to go into elimination, to least likely.
You can vote yourself to go into elimination if you want. You know who you can go against based on the "older" and "newer" elimination cycle. So if you want to take that risk, please do so!
Algo will recognize if you are the Double Agents and vote yourself into elimination, and will put you into elimination if that's what you choose and it is your cycle.
~~ DAY 3 ~~
The Double Agents are revealed as well as BOTH teams going into elimination, however only one member of both duos is in the elimination. How is that decided?
First elimination is always the "older" user, second elimination is always the "newer" user. This is decided like this so the game doesn't become solely challenge based, or a spamming game. Your team got voted in because you didn't make the connections, and one of you has to try and stay in the game.
So, the two people in the elimination do their comp. Everyone else in the game does their next voting and comp for the next day.
~~ DAY 4 ~~
The person that was eliminated was revealed. The duo of that person becomes a "rogue" agent. The new Double Agents are revealed. The new elimination participants are revealed and the game continues from there.
This day the "newer" member plays in the elimination. Everyone votes and does the challenge again. INCLUDING the rogue agent.
You can not vote to send in the Rogue agent into elimination.
~~ DAY 5 ~~
A new duo is revealed! The older elim winner, and the newer elim winner are now a duo. and the game continues on with the same format until final 4 duos.
Couple things to note:
1. If the duo that was voted in on the "newer" elim cycle is the same as the duo that LOST the "newer" elim cycle, they will go into elimination with their new duo. For example, the older player was still at the bottom of everyone's list, they would still go into elimination with their new partner that is the Rogue agent.
2. The Gold Skull twist IS in effect. Which means you HAVE to go into elimination at some point and WIN to make final day. How will this be done exactly? Starting at 8 duos left, depending on who has gold skulls or not, people that have gold skulls will AUTOMATICALLY be safe from elimination. Which forces people that have not been in eliminations to go into them.
~~ Final Day ~~
The final challenge is a series of 3 challenges. The team that scores the highest in all challenges will win the game. 2nd place is 2nd highest scores etc.
This really does seem like and extremely long format, and I agree I think it can be. We could shorten the amount of duos in the game to make it easier. Or take out my original day 1 idea and just make all duos randomized.
But I genuinely think that this would be a really fun concept to see and to play out. Yes, obviously it's "challenge" oriented, but that's what "The Challenge" really is. It's mostly a challenge based show, and you need to do well to survive.
