With you all this evening, if you were online a few hours ago, you may have seen my blogs that I sent out in distress about my failing appliances, primarily my heat pump which I noticed first and then several other appliances were discovered to be not working such as my fridge, my oven and stovetop, and my furnace downstairs.
I was cold. I was hungry. I felt defeated. Me being a stupid girl not knowing anything about electricity or mechanic machinery type things I had no choice but to wait for help.
In the end it ended up being an electricity issue where only half of the power was going to my house, causing my appliances that needed maximum power levels to not be able to work as normal. For like 2 to 4 hours the comfortability of my life hung in the balance as I waited for the electric company.
This experience was meant to humble me, it made me realize just how well off I am and how easy I have it in life, being able to have regular access to boil water, or to even stay warm in the winter time, being able to cook exactly what you want when you want it because you have those appliances at your disposal. Not even a couple hundred years ago, it was unheard of to have these luxuries that we live with today and life was much harder for the people I want everyone to take a second into appreciate what they have. You never know when something can break in your house.

I just want to clarify that I still had lights and internet access, it was mainly my more heavy running appliances and furnace.
