to allow myself to have a relatively normal life. My parents put me on track to be an antisocial nerd school robot and im so thankful that i was smart enough when i was a teenager to distance myself from that idea and develop into normal person with social skills and empathy.

If you want those promotions in life you can't be a worker drone bee, you are going to have to learn how to be sociable and rub elbows with people who will open those doors for you.
