tl:dr I made friends with a person from my graduation class who is transgender and I think she’s the coolest person ever and I want to be friends with her but I’m kinda nervous my ignorance will ruin that since I don’t really know her as “her”
So you guys obviously know I’m really ignorant about certain things and can sometimes (more often than not) be viewed in a way that seems terrible and like I have a hatred for certain things when honestly that couldn’t be more incorrect.
My family raised me as a catholic but this was the certain type of catholic where if the same gender were sexually attracted to the other then it’s just not right and maybe people would go far enough to say it’s a sin but honestly, with my religion in mind I don’t think anything like that is wrong. I want everyone to be able to feel comfortable with who they are and who they want to be and who they want to be with etc and for anyone whose sexual preferences I have ever mocked, I apologize for not understanding it from your point of view. While I still may be very unaware with this whole subject I ask anyone and everyone to educate me when they think I need it.
Which… brings me to this blog. I recently ran into one of my old classmates at a Red Sox game and well.. long story short, she is Emily and not who I knew her as. We did boy scouts and played baseball together and it took me a few innings to kinda think about who this person was to me in school and despite maybe talking one or twice it’s quite refreshing to see her not only happy and proud of who she is but I realized too that the person I knew as “Evan” was finally happy to be who she wanted to be. By the 5th-6th inning I had made a new friend. Emily. This friend I never knew who apparently went to high school with. My friend and I are going to the Red Sox game with her on Friday and I am very excited but I have a tendency to say very interesting things on the spot to pretend like I have any idea what’s going on.
I’m really excited for the game on Friday though. It’s weird how someone you never thought you’d ever see again is now not only back in your life but someone you could easily see yourself being a friends with.
Really makes you think.. people can actually change and grow. Even when it’s not for a bad reason
In response to this blog.. those 7 years of tengaged were some of the most brutal, gut wrenching and craziest times of experience. In that time frame I played about 30 stars games? I was obsessed. The whole part of nominating 2 random people, starting drama trying to act like Evel Dick, and multiple personal tracks to me and me making them were probably the most overdramatic things ever lol.. I think it wasn’t until like my 6-7th stars on #maturo where I didn’t get nominated until single digits and I thought I was like bbdamian level good. (wasn’t even close btw) .. as time and time went on you get so used to playing these games that it’s like.. when someone in the game is mad about being nominated you just think it’s funny because when it’s you up there, it’s fun. I used to love being nominated. Preparing my speech and trying to make the dialogue somewhat funny and relatable to just get 56% evicted.
My favorite part of tackling real life with stars
Going to the bathroom at work while working at five guys hoping the set of me and Eli didn’t go through that one time.. (it did, like 3 times) or waking up at 5am with spam calls from eliserose telling me that our set changed and me switching with like 2 minutes left in DC and our set going through 😂
I guess bottom line is it’s a game and to me there’s a difference between bitterness and trolling. I don’t get mad at games anymore I just get even. This website is a never ending cycle of the same people and same game. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were 2 separate Frookies game with a same cast in it from over the years.. if you outplay me, I respect it. I may dislike how you played the game but instead of being mad about it? We’ll work on it for next time.
